How to use your Healthcare Plan

  1. How to book a medical home visit: contact the MEDICARE SÉNIOR Customer Support Service – 211 165 550, option 2, option 3 and follow the instructions carefully. You should have your MEDICARE SÉNIOR GIFT card with you.
  2. How to request Medical Advice over the Phone: contact the MEDICARE SÉNIOR Customer Support Service – 211 165 550, option 2, option 2 and follow the instructions carefully.
  3. How to enable Telecare services: contact the MEDICARE SÉNIOR Customer Support Service – 211 165 550, option 2, option 1, every week day, from 9 am to 8 pm.
  4. Select the Dental Service Provider: at www.medicare.pt click on “Medical Network” and select the Plan that gave you access to the Campaign. Search for the Provider you want. Please contact the MEDICARE dental appointment line – (+351) 211 165 530 for all the necessary information. The MEDICARE Dental Line is available every workday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  5. Making a dental Appointment in the MEDICARE Network: Contact the MEDICARE Dental Appointment Line – 211 165 530 – and we will make an appointment with your preferred Provider. This Dental Appointment Line is open on week days from 9 am to 8 pm.
  6. What to do at the Appointment: you should present your MEDICARE SÉNIOR GIFT card every time, to the chosen Provider, together with another personal photo identification document. After the appointment you should pay for the services you were provided, for the amount agreed by MEDICARE with the Provider. Always ask for payment invoices to include in your Income Tax filings.
